About this directory

AI development companies

Use this list to separate documented AI delivery from a general software firm with an AI label. An AI service page is not the same thing as a production deployment.

7 companies · Alphabetical, not ranked · Methodology

Search, filters, and comparison need JavaScript. The companies and project sources below are in the page either way.

How to assess an AI development partner

What kind of AI work has each company documented?

The approved projects here include conversational systems, document workflows, and automation. Prototype versus production remains unknown unless the source says so. Do not treat a demo as operations.

What should you verify beyond an AI demo?

Ask about data access, evaluation, failure handling, latency and cost constraints, security, and monitoring ownership. Geography is not evidence of affordability, and this directory does not publish invented benchmarks.

Who owns evaluation and production support?

Fit notes are editorial judgments, not verified performance scores. If a public page does not say who runs evaluation or production support, that is a procurement question, not a gap you can fill from the category name.

What to verify before hiring

  • What data would they need, and who owns evaluation criteria?
  • How are failures, latency, cost, and security handled after a demo?
  • Who owns handover, monitoring, and production support?

How companies are included

100Signals publishes this list as a buyer research resource. It is not itself a software vendor in these categories. Companies come from the 100Signals agency dataset and are included only when a public company source names a relevant project, client, or delivery portfolio. An industry label alone is not enough.

Order is alphabetical and is not a score. Inclusion is unpaid. 100Signals sells marketing services to software agencies and may have commercial relationships that are separate from this list.

Evidence limits

Project pages and portfolio indexes are different. A portfolio index can support a narrower statement; it is not independently verified delivery. Source capture dates record when the source was stored, not when the work happened. Editorial review dates are shown per company when they exist; a missing date stays missing. Vendor outcome claims are not repeated as measured results.

Hourly rates and minimum project values are not in the current public sources for this cohort. Ask each company for a current proposal.

Corrections

If a listed company needs a factual correction, email peter@100signals.com. Approved changes go through the company registry and a new release; review dates are not refreshed just because a URL still responds.

Optional: ask Peter to review your selected shortlist

This is optional. You can use the comparison without sending anything. Peter Korpak at 100Signals receives the request. Names are not sent to listed vendors automatically.
